๐ซ OINP Fully Closed โ No Active Streams (June 2026)
On May 30, 2026, Ontario revoked all 9 OINP streams under Ontario Regulation 47/26. The streams permanently closed were:
- Human Capital Priorities Stream
- French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream
- Skilled Trades Stream
- Employer Job Offer โ Foreign Worker Stream
- Employer Job Offer โ International Student Stream
- In-Demand Skills Stream
- Masters Graduate Stream
- PhD Graduate Stream
- Regional Immigration Pilot
Only applications submitted before May 30, 2026 are still being processed. No new intake is open. The mandatory OINP Employer Portal launches July 2, 2026, but replacement stream eligibility rules have NOT been published.

Public consultation closes. Ontario signals shift to employer-driven, targeted draw model.

Regulatory changes suggest Ontario will launch targeted streams for Healthcare, TEER 0โ3, and TEER 4โ5 tracks.

All 9 OINP streams revoked under O. Reg. 47/26. No grace period. Existing EOI profiles may not carry over.
Jul 2, 2026
Mandatory OINP Employer Portal launches. Employers must register before sponsoring any foreign worker under future OINP streams.

โณ Proposed New OINP Streams (Not Yet Active)
Based on the December 2025 consultation, four replacement streams are proposed. No eligibility rules, scoring grids, or launch dates have been published as of June 12, 2026.
- Employer Job Offer (TEER 0โ3): Skilled professionals and managers with valid Ontario employer job offer. Employer must be registered on OINP Employer Portal.
- Employer Job Offer (TEER 4โ5): Replaces In-Demand Skills stream. Same portal registration requirement for employer. Critical change: employer portal registration is now mandatory.
- Priority Healthcare: Regulated healthcare professionals with valid Ontario registration (NOC 31301, 31300 range). Dedicated stream targeting nursing shortage.
- Entrepreneur / Exceptional Talent: Qualitative pathway โ not points-based. Globally recognized achievements, business investment, or exceptional skills.

What To Do Right Now (June 2026)
- Maintain your valid status in Canada โ expired permits cannot be fixed retroactively by future OINP streams.
- Activate Express Entry category-based alternatives โ Healthcare, STEM, French, Trades draws continue federally.
- If your employer is in Ontario, tell them to register on the OINP Employer Portal (July 2, 2026 launch) so you are ready the moment replacement streams open.
- Monitor ontario.ca/oinp for stream launch announcements โ no advance notice is guaranteed.
- Consider other provincial pathways โ BC PNP, Alberta AAIP, Saskatchewan SINP, Manitoba MPNP, and Atlantic AIP all remain active.
